The Dogfather Abergavenny
About the Forest School
More than exercise – a place for dogs to grow and thrive.
At The Dogfather Forest School, I believe dogs deserve more than just exercise – they deserve an environment that nurtures their instincts, challenges their minds, and fulfils their need for connection. The forest school setting provides a safe, structured space where dogs can explore natural terrain, engage their senses, and learn to navigate social dynamics in a balanced way.
Unlike repetitive walks or indoor day care, Forest School mirrors the environment dogs were designed to thrive in – where sniffing, problem-solving, play, and rest all have their place.
This combination of physical freedom and guided structure is not only vital for building confidence and resilience, but also prevents frustration, anxiety, and behavioural issues that arise when a dog’s natural needs go unmet. For me, it’s not just about burning energy, it’s about creating happy, fulfilled, and well-rounded dogs.
